Marty Munson

Managing Director

Marty Munson has significant experience in finance, commercial lending and healthcare.  Mr. Munson has been responsible for leading the underwriting, portfolio management and field exam process for several, leading national lenders.

Mr. Munson is Managing Director of Watermark Advisory Group, LLC.  Watermark provides credit risk services to commercial lenders and banks including commercial loan underwriting, portfolio management and ABLfield examination services.  Mr. Munson has performed work for numerous top banks and lenders, and is an expert in Healthcare Lending.

Prior to founding Watermark, Mr. Munson was the Director of the Audit, Underwriting and Portfolio Management Groups for CIT Healthcare’s Asset Based and Middle Market Lending Group.  At CIT Healthcare, in addition to managing these teams, Marty had both individual credit authority and was a member of the credit committee.  In addition he was a member of the corporate risk management team which designed the Basel II Risk Based Pricing Model which was used not only by CIT Healthcare but throughout the company.  Under, his direction at CIT, the asset based group underwrote $400MM in new deals and was responsible for managing a portfolio of $1.2MM in loans.

Prior to his tenure at CIT, Marty worked for both CapitalSource and GE Healthcare Financial Services where amongst other responsibilities he managed the underwriting due diligence and monitoring examination process for Healthcare ABL, Healthcare Real Estate, and Business Service Credit Loans, supervising  30 auditors who performed over 300 examinations per year.   

Prior to working in the finance sector Marty held CFO positions for both Hospital and Laboratory providers, and earned his CPA while managing audit engagements for KPMG & Deloitte Haskins. He earned his MBA at the State University of New York at Buffalo majoring in finance.
